What this is and is not

The casualty rate is measured, from five years of police records divided by how far people actually ride on each road, and it is a whole-road figure. The bends on your route are measured from the routed line itself, so they describe your ride; the bend figures printed under each road name are for that whole numbered road, end to end, and are labelled as such. Neither is a prediction, and nothing here says whether you should ride today. Crash clusters show where riders have been hurt, not where you will be. A cluster on a busy road partly reflects how many people ride through it.
