Editorial standards
Bikers.co.uk publishes news and data for UK motorcyclists and cyclists. This page explains how we produce it.
Who writes our news
News articles are published by the Bikers.co.uk Editorial Team. We use AI tools, including Claude by Anthropic, to help research and draft articles. Every figure in an article is calculated from the named data source by code, not written by AI, and each article lists its sources.
Where our numbers come from
Road casualty figures come from the Department for Transport's police-reported road safety data (STATS19), published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Police-reported data does not include every injury, and it records where a collision happened rather than who was at fault. We say so where it matters.
What we will not publish
We do not copy other outlets' articles or photographs. We do not publish stories that name people killed or injured in crashes. Images on news articles are illustrations created for Bikers.co.uk unless the caption says otherwise.
Corrections
If you think something we published is wrong, email info@bikers.co.uk with the page address and what is wrong. We check every report and correct mistakes on the page, with a note saying what changed and when.
